The first ever WordCamp Port Macquarie is happening on the 5th and 6th of October 2019 at Charles Sturt University Campus, Port Macquarie. We’ve got a date, a venue, and now we need passionate speakers who want to share their knowledge with the local community!
Tracks
There will be three tracks at WordCamp Port Macquarie. The event will include two main speaker’s tracks, with 24 presentations covering a range of topics run over the two-day event. There will also be a third Health/Well-being track that takes place outside (there will be no projector), which will focus on mental/physical health in a more relaxed outside environment.
The two main tracks will be recorded and uploaded to WordPress.tv at a later date. The Health/Well-being track will not be recorded.
Length of Talks
We’ve allocated 45 minutes total for each presentation in the main track. There’s no hard and fast rules here, but aim for 30-minute presentations with an additional 15 minutes for questions / discussions with attendees.
The Health track will likely take place between the main presentations and run for 15 minutes each, but this will depend on exactly how much interest we get in our Call for Speakers (we’re flexible and open to suggestions).
Closing Date / Announcement Date
Submissions close 14th September 2019. Once submissions have closed, the selection process will start and we will notify each application on whether they were selected or not. Speakers will be announced to the public on the 20th September 2019.
